OFFICIAL PROCLAMATION

Proclamation No. 28 (May 12, 1962): Declared June 12 as Philippine Independence Day, shifting the celebration from July 4 to commemorate the 1898 declaration of independence.

Proclamation No. 149 (August 22, 1963): Declared August 23, 1963, as a special public holiday in Quezon City to mark the 67th anniversary of the "Cry of Pugad Lawin.

Proclamation No. 158 (September 6, 1963): Declared September 19, 1963, as Law Day to highlight the role of lawyers in the administration of justice.

Proclamation No. 221 (March 24, 1964): Declared May 10–16, 1964, as National 4-H Club Week to recognize the contributions of young rural boys and girls in community development.

Proclamation No. 282 (August 6, 1964): Declared the third week of September 1964 as Barrio Officials Week to honor the contributions of barrio officials in nation-building.

Proclamation No. 341 (December 24, 1964): Declared January 6 of every year as Community Development Day to emphasize the importance of community development programs.

Proclamation No. 356 (February 7, 1965): Reserved a parcel of land in Cebu City for tenement housing purposes.

Proclamation No. 361 (February 22, 1965): Reserved land in Legaspi City for school site purposes.

Proclamation No. 386 (April 10, 1965): Authorized the National League of Puericulture Centers to conduct an educational and fund drive from April 16 to May 15, 1965.

Proclamation No. 409 (June 21, 1965): Extended the national educational and fund campaign of the Elks Cerebral Palsy Projects, Inc., up to August 31, 1965.
