EXECUTIVE ORDERS

Executive Order No. 55 (July 16, 1945): Suspended the running of the period of eligibility for reinstatement in the Civil Service during the enemy occupation of the Philippines.

Executive Order No. 56 (July 20, 1945): Amended Executive Order No. 39, which appropriated funds for civilian defense.​

Executive Order No. 57 (July 25, 1945): Created the Petroleum Products Control Administration to oversee the rationing and distribution of petroleum products.​

Executive Order No. 58 (July 26, 1945): Reduced the territory of the City of Greater Manila.​

Executive Order No. 59 (July 27, 1945): Established the Metropolitan Transportation Service (METRAN).

​ Executive Order No. 60 (July 31, 1945): Amended Executive Order No. 76 from 1936, which created the Board of Food Inspection.​

Executive Order No. 61 (August 4, 1945): Repealed Executive Order No. 38 and revived Section 1659 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended by Commonwealth Act No.

Executive Order No. 62 (August 14, 1945): Fixed the official markups for wholesalers and retailers of certain commodities to determine ceiling prices.​

Executive Order No. 63 (August 14, 1945): Created a Council of State to advise the President on public policy matters.

​ Executive Order No. 64 (August 16, 1945): Established a National War Crimes Office.​

Executive Order No. 65 (September 3, 1945): Provided for the provisional release on bail of political prisoners prior to the institution of corresponding criminal cases.​

Executive Order No. 66 (September 14, 1945): Extended the period for authorizing payment of salaries and wages of newly appointed or transferred government officials and employees while their appointments are pending action by the proper authorities.​

Executive Order No. 67 (September 26, 1945): Prescribed instructions for conducting public affairs during the President's absence from the Philippines.

Executive Order No. 68: Addressed the demobilization of elements of the Philippine Army and other guerrilla units.​

Executive Order No. 69: Created the Resistance Movement Medal and Diploma to recognize the services of guerrilla forces and patriotic citizens.
